| Castillo de Canena decisively continues to favour sustainable development
Still in keeping with their corporate philosophy of a scrupulous environmental awareness, Castillo de Canena has just inaugurated 3 photovoltaic power plants in their agricultural farm, with a capacity to generate a power of 300 Kw, which means that all electrical power needs, basically in relation to the fertirrigation of the olive plantation, have been covered by solar panel-generated fluid.

This initiative in favour of sustainable development is further compounded by those other initiatives that have already been put into effect, such as obtaining an Integrated Production Agriculture certificate, in order to rationalise the use of phytosanitary products; the maintenance of the vegetation cover all over the farm so as to prevent the indiscriminate use of herbicides, reduce the erosion of the land and preserve the indigenous herbaceous vegetation, and the use of pruning remains as a biomass that can be used as non-polluting ecological fuel.
Apart from the extremely high quality of its extra virgin oils, Castillo de Canena is resolute in its respect for nature and the environment as a corporate commitment before society and before future generations.
