FIRST YEAR OF CREATION OF THE ISO 9001 STANDARD: In the year 1987.
DESCRIPTION: It is a quality management system. This standard applies to the processes of our organization that have an impact on quality and emphasizes continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
This European standard has been drawn up under a mandate addressed to the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports the essential requirements of the European Directives.
INTERNAL REASONS FOR IMPLEMENTATION IN THE GROUP: The implementation of this Quality Management System has been a strategic decision for the Group to improve its overall performance. It has provided a solid basis for sustainable development initiatives.
Castillo de Canena has achieved a series of benefits by implementing this Quality Management System. These benefits are:
a) Ability to regularly provide product and service that meets the technical requirements of our clients, legal and regulatory ones.
b) It has made easier the opportunity to increase customer satisfaction.
c) It has helped us to manage the risks and opportunities associated with our context and objectives
d) The ability to demonstrate compliance with specific requirements of the Quality Management System.
This standard uses the process approach that incorporates the following cycle: To Plan-To Do-To Check-To Act (PDCA) , based on possible risks.
The PDCA cycle has allowed us to ensure that our processes have resources enough, and that they are properly managed. Also, that all opportunities for improvement are determined accordingly.
On the other hand, thinking based on the hypothetical risks that can be generated in industrial processes, it has helped to determine what factors have caused the deviations from the planned results. In both areas: these processes and in the Management System. It helps to have preventive controls to minimize the negative effects & maximize the use of opportunities which have been emerging during the process.
The implementation of ISO 9001 has helped us to substantially improve internal discipline, the rational compliance of protocols and processes & the recurrent obtaining of the highest standards of Quality and Food Safety.
