Andalusian Academy of Gastronomy awards Chef Ramón Ramírez
Our dear friend, Chef Ramón Ramírez, has been awarded by the Andalusian Academy of Gastronomy (AAGT) through the “I Gastronomic Andalusia Award“. AAGT has decided to award Chef Ramón Ramírez because “the great work of diffusion of Andalusian cuisine along all these years”.
Ramón Ramírez, among other actions, he published his book “Los potajes de mis tías” (Soups of my aunts) in 2004 in homage to the traditional Andalusian cuisine.
He was the first Andalusian chef to get two Michelin stars. He was awarded with them when he was working as Chef at the famous restaurant “El Amparo in Madrid”.
In addition, this Andalusian Chef (he was born in Malaga) was already awarded by the Spanish Royal Academy of Gastronomy in 1991 through the National Gastronomy Award, in recognition of his career in Spain and other countries as UK or USA.
