Our history
Who are we?
Castillo de Canena is a family company linked to the world of olive oil since 1780. More than two centuries of history, learning and commitment to excellence have led us to become world leaders in the Extra Virgin Premium Olive Oil sector.
We are the Rosa and Francisco Vañó brothers, and in 2003 we decided to take over Castillo de Canena to transform the family business, which produced olive oil in bulk, into a world reference in terms of quality and innovation, offering high-end products and innovative gastronomic proposals based on EVOO of the picual, arbequino and royal varieties.

At Castillo de Canena we are driven by our passion for our land and our olive trees, from which the high-end Extra Virgin Olive Oil that we are so proud of is born.
Our gourmet EVOOs are the result of tradition, know-how and experience passed down from generation to generation, of our commitment to sustainability, both social, improving the society around us, and of our countryside, an example of biodiversity, continuously reducing our carbon footprint and our water footprint, excluding any type of pesticide and herbicide, favoring the vegetation cover of our soil as part of our commitment to regenerative agriculture, continuous innovation in our production processes and in our products adapted to the needs of our consumers, and finally, adopting excellence as a habit in all our activities.
